Congress run by people supporting divisive forces: Nadda | India News

BHUBANESWAR: BJP president J P Nadda on Friday said the Congress is unfortunately run by people supporting divisive and anti-national forces.
On a day, senior Congress leaders Mallikarjun Kharge and Shashi Tharoor filed nominations for the post of Congress president, the BJP chief said, “Rahul Gandhi supports the tukde tukde gang raising slogans to break the country and backing the terrorists. What can be more unfortunate that people with such ideological background were running the Congress.”
Addressing a meeting of BJP frontal organizations, Nadda said BJP is the only national party while the Indian National Congress is neither Indian nor national. “It is reduced to a party of ‘bhai-behan (brother-sister)’ without any ideology,” he said for the second time, after making similar reference in another BJP meeting here on Thursday.
“The Congress doesn’t have an ideology. The BJP’s fight today is against the family backed party from north to south and east to west. The family parties are obstructing the country’s development. They must be defeated, he said.
The Congress sharply reacted to Nadda’s jibe.
Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee president Sarat Pattanayak said the Congress doesn’t need certificate from the BJP. “BJP is a party of handful of filthy rich persons while the Congress is a party of crores of common people committed to protect their interest,” he said.
Congress legislature party leader Narasingha Mishra said BJP, remote controlled by RSS, in its earlier avatar was never part of Indian freedom movement but supported the Britishers. It is now lecturing others on nationalism.
